MARRAKECH EXCURSION TO HIGH ATLAS IN 4X4 IN PRIVATE DAY TRIP

The High Atlas rises in the west at the Atlantic Ocean and stretches in an eastern direction to the Moroccan-Algerian border. At the Atlantic and to the southwest the range drops abruptly and makes an impressive transition to the coast and the Anti-Atlas range. To the north, in the direction of Marrakech, the range descends less abruptly.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPECT:

This tour start from your Riad / Hotel and we drive across the barren ‘Marrakech desert’ of Agafay with a wonderful backdrop of High Atlas Mountains, during your day you will visit Amizmiz dam, crossing Kik Plateau, Moulay ibrahim Gorges and drive to Imlil Valley for a walk between some Berber villages and have lunch in some typical house, relax and enjoy unrivalled views of the High Atlas mountains and after lunch drive to Tizi N'tamatert pass 2379m and down to imnanen vally by crosiinf many Berber villages... back to Marrakech in different way about 5pm.

DEPARTURE & RETURN:

Your hotel or riad in Marrakech at 9.00 am. Return to the requested place / hotel.

Camel Ride

The camel ride with transportation to and from our location in Marrakech was around 1-1.5 hr, but we spent an entire hour mounted on the camels,

imlil Valley Waterfalls: 

Not to be confused with Imlil in the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region. Imlil is a rural commune in the Province of Al Haouz, in the Marrakech-Safi region, in Morocco. It includes in particular a homonymous village. The film Seven Years in Tibet, released in 1997, was partly shot near the village.

Traditional Berber house:

In theory this visit is to allow visitors to see the traditional Berber way of life and a typical family house. However, once you get there you will see that this experience has become, like in so many, a staging for tourists. Normally the father of the family will welcome you into his house.
