PRIVATE 1 DAY TRIP TO THE WATERFALLS IN OUZOUD
EVERYDAY MARRAKECH EXCURSION TO OUZOUD WATERFALLS IN DAY TRIP :
Escape the hustle of city life in Marrakech and enjoy a guided, full-day walking tour to the beautiful Ouzoud Waterfalls, located near the Grand Atlas village of Tanaghmeilt. Follow the shaded path of olive trees to one of the most popular sites near Morocco — a breathtaking display of natural beauty. The 110-meter-tall falls are surrounded by rugged red cliffs and heavily scented oleander. Look for a variety of birds and possibly Barbary macaques (apes). This small-group tour includes a Marrakech hotel pickup and drop-off.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPECT:
Pickup at your Marrakech accommodation, then head east from the city in a private car. Make your first stop at Imi n’Ifri, a natural travertine arch that spans a deep gorge, where you can follow a trail to a jumble of boulders and a freshwater spring. Continue to the Ouzoud Waterfalls on a route that passes through High Atlas villages and rugged mountain scenery. Your driver will wait for you in the falls’ main parking area as you explore the area on your own. This is the perfect place to slip into the river for a cool swim, or cross the base of the falls on a small, traditional ferry—the expert ferryman guides the boat across the river on a fixed rope. Watch for the native Barbary macaque monkeys that cluster at the water’s edge, then stop at a riverside restaurant for a traditional meal or tea. When you’ve finished visiting the falls, meet your driver in the parking area for the return trip to Marrakech, arriving at your accommodation at roughly 6pm.
DEPARTURE & RETURN:
Your hotel or riad in Marrakech at 9.00 am. Return to the requested place / hotel.
MONKEYS
This day tour travels east of Marrakech into the foothills of the High Atlas to the Cascades d’Ouzoud. Our first stop is usually at Demnate, a Berber market town. Sunday is a hive of activity on market day and a visit to the rural market is fascinating. A short drive from Demnate is Imi n’Ifri, a natural arch-shaped land bridge in the M’goun Geopark.

OUZOUD WATERFALLS
Ouzoud Falls (Amazigh: Imuzzar n wuẓuḍ, French: Cascades d'Ouzoud) is the collective name for several waterfalls that empty into the El-Abid River's (Arabic for "Slaves' River") gorge. This popular tourism destination is located near the Middle Atlas village of Tanaghmeilt, in the province of Azilal.

Traditional Berber house:
In theory this visit is to allow visitors to see the traditional Berber way of life and a typical family house. However, once you get there you will see that this experience has become, like in so many, a staging for tourists. Normally the father of the family will welcome you into his house.
